If you truly have issues with keeping cool while you sleep, it doesn't matter what mattress you get, what sheets you use or how cool you keep your AC. Your bed is a microclimate. No matter what, your body will radiate heat. Rather than using phase change materials to combat this, the Pod Pro uses a water-cooled approach instead.

The matress is a medium firm all foam mattress. It's suitable for most people, but may be too firm for some lightweight sleepers, or those who like a softer feel. Most people will find this comfortable, but it would be a nice addition if Eight offered multiple firmness options to choose from. That's really our only complaint about this otherwise astounding mattress.

The mattress is encased in a smart cover that's app enabled and tracks your sleep and HRV data, adjusts the temperature of the bed, and can even function as a gentle alarm clock. The mattress comes with a "pod" which holds a small amount of water which is used to heat and cool the mattress. If you sleep with a partner, you can each have your own settings so keep your bed exactly how you like it. 

Overall, if you're looking for a bed thats built with temperature regulation at the forefront, the Eight Sleep Pod Pro is a worthwile investment.
