Nolah Sleep is a popular mattress company located in Denver, Colorado. Most buyers trust the company because they produce award-winning, sleeper-friendly bed-in-a-box mattresses. Mattress Cover

Nolah Evolution Mattress is dressed up in an ArcticTex phase-change cooling cover. The cover gives off a cool-to-the-touch sensation assuring you of a cool and sweat-free night. Moreover, the cover has two handles on both sides designed to help you easily move this Nolah mattress.

Comfort Layer

Immediately at the topmost layer beneath the cover is the 2" quilted cooling foam Euro topper. This quilted Euro pillow top has a heat escape gusset surrounding it, allowing quick body heat dissipation.

Making up the lower half of the comfort memory foam layer is the 2" high resilience foam. An inch of this layer is super durable and stronger than latex. Overall, the layer creates a responsive feel that helps provide lumbar support in conjunction with great pressure relief.

Support Layer

At the bottom is the support layer, which makes up the entire base layer of this Nolah Evolution Hybrid Mattress. The layer features HDMax™ Tri-Zone™ coils which offer support and durability. Since these support coils are also individually wrapped, they provide room for flexibility, granting the mattress excellent responsiveness.

Note: The individually wrapped support coils at the base sit on an eco-based foundation layer which helps boost the mattress' overall stability. More importantly, this luxury hybrid mattress features a non-skid backside that prevents it from sliding on top of the frame or foundation when tossing and turning on the sleep surface.

Nolah Evolution 15 Mattress firmness

Nolah Evolution Hybrid Mattress comes in three firmness levels: firm, luxury firm, and plush. These firmness levels ensure side, back, and stomach sleepers feel comfortable all night long.

We tested these three models and rated their firmness scale from 1-10, with 1 being the softest and 10 being the firmest level.

While the plush version rates 5.0/10, the firm model is 8.0/10, and the medium firm one is 6.5/10. Though comfort and firmness are subjective metrics, most of our testers found the luxury firm model to be more comfortable.

Testers who found Nolah Evolution Mattress to be super comfortable were average-weight sleepers weighing 140-200 pounds who slept on their back and stomach. But, side sleepers in this category needed more time adjusting to this mattress.

Though you won't receive adequate support in a side sleeping position initially, you'll start feeling the bed give slightly after about a week.

Lightweight stomach sleepers weighing 130 pounds and below will find the luxury firm mattress a bit firmer but with enough support around the neck and the shoulders. On the other hand, heavyweight back sleepers (230 pounds and above) might experience some slight sinkage, though the mattress should offer them a cozy sleep experience.

Nolah Mattress Sizing

Like other Nolah mattresses, the Nolah Evolution Hybrid comes in seven different sizes like other mattress brands in the market. Their smallest size is the Twin, with the largest being the California king. Here is a breakdown of different Nolah mattress sizes and their respective dimensions.

Nolah Mattress Performance Ratings

Based on its construction, it's pretty apparent that this Nolah mattress guarantees quality sleep. We tested the bed to find out how its sophisticated design impacts your sleep comfort in areas like pressure relief, temperature regulation, edge support, and others. Below is an outline of our findings.

Temperature Regulation

With its multiple cutting-edge cooling technologies, this Nolah Evolution 15 Mattress stands out as an ideal choice for hot sleepers. First, the fibers of its cool-to-the-touch cover are interwoven with ArcticTex, an element designed to promote cooling.

At the foam comfort layers, this mattress features graphite infusion that helps wick away moisture to shield against night sweats. Overall, this is your go-to mattress anytime you're gearing up for the upcoming summer season.

Pressure and Pain Relief

According to Nolah, their proprietary AirFoam is fitted with a compression process designed to create air bubbles. These bubbles help deliver exceptional pressure relief regardless of your body type or preferred sleeping position. Moreover, the foams are an incredible solution to shoulder, hip, and back pain.

The supportive high resilience foam layer at the base also offers excellent body contouring that helps provide even more profound pressure relief. If pressure relief is your top priority, then you should opt for the plush version of this Nolah mattress.

If you're an individual with hip pain, the recommended sleeping positions are stomach or back sleeping to prevent putting pressure on painful pressure points in those areas. But with Nolah Evolution Hybrid, the multiple foam layers provide incredible cradling sensation around the hips while the coil layer helps keep your spine perfectly aligned.

According to Nolah, this hybrid model's 8-inch HDMax™ Tri-Zone™ offers up to 25% more support than ordinary springs. If you have persistent back pain, this mattress will alleviate the pain and provide extra lumbar support and pressure relief.

Putting excess weight on a small part of the body usually causes shoulder pain. Nolah Evolution's zone coil construction, in conjunction with the balanced firmness level, helps alleviate this pain—thanks to its exceptional pressure relief feature—while also providing proper spinal alignment.

Edge Support

Nolah Evolution Hybrid has a great edge support system courtesy of the thick perimeter coils at the support layer. Additionally, Nolah Evolution's Patented HDMax™ coils also help add a durable edge support system and robust lift along the mattress edge without compromising its soft layers.

In case you're a couple looking for more sleeping surface, then you can rest assured that this mattress has solid edge support that secures you as you sleep on the mattress edge, ensuring you don't roll off to the ground.

The robust edge support also allows occasional sitting when watching TV or dressing up. Remember to keep occasionally sitting on the Nolah Evolution Hybrid Mattress edge at a minimum; otherwise, it might cause premature sagging that may shorten the mattress' lifespan.

Motion Isolation

Buyers with sleep partners seeking minimal to no sleep disturbance should look for a mattress designed to limit motion transfer excellently. Luckily, the Nolah Evolution Hybrid mattress pillow top and transition layers help absorb motion vibrations.

Though the 8" coil layer gives this Nolah Evolution Mattress some bounce which might generate some disturbance, the independent wrapping design of these coils helps limit the possibility of such an occurrence. And like some of the best hybrid mattresses, the Nolah Evolution Mattress uses springy coils and motion-absorbing comfort layers to deliver superior comfort.

A softer mattress renders excellent motion isolation compared to a firmer model. And out of the three firmness levels of Nolah Evolution, Hybrid's plush model offers great motion isolation.

Off Gassing

Nolah Evolution Mattress' construction consists of CertiPUR-US certified memory foam layers. As much as it gives off an odor upon unpackaging, the smell from the memory foam layers contains low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOC). So, it's harmless, and therefore no need to worry about any respiratory problems.

After unpacking the mattress, leave the windows open for the odor to dissipate. Though it'll be ready for use in a few hours, the off-gassing smell will take up to 48 hours to dissipate completely. After setting it up, leave off the bed sheets to speed up off-gassing release.

Durability

Nolah Evolution is a hybrid mattress made of high-quality materials. It comes with an eco-friendly base layer that helps strengthen the entire mattress structure, stabilizing the tri-zone coils, which deliver long-lasting durability.

According to our estimates, this mattress can last for at least seven years.

Our testers agree that this mattress is a sturdy, well-made bed. Given its lifetime warranty, Nolah is confident you can get as much as 25 years using this mattress.

Proper care and maintenance will also play a significant role in extending the Nolah Evolution hybrid's lifespan. So, knowing how to clean this mattress properly without damaging its materials can also help keep the bed sleep ready for several years.

Sleeping Styles and Body Weight

Nolah Evolution Hybrid is a mattress designed to accommodate all types of sleepers. Below is an outline of how comfortable this mattress will feel on different sleepers.

Side Sleepers

Thanks to Nolah Evolution's contouring abilities, side sleepers can be sure of great pressure relief. The mattress' upper foam layers from the high-density transition foam and the quilted Euro Top layer offer lightweight side sleepers excellent cushioning for hips and shoulders.

Our tests found average weight side sleepers to benefit significantly compared to light and heavyweight side sleepers from this mattress. Not only does Nolah Evolution provide them with exceptional pressure relief around the hips and shoulders, but it also promotes spinal alignment.

Generally, heavyweight side sleepers tend to sink deeper into the mattress surface. Fortunately, the Nolah Evolution hybrid is designed to overcome this. As the coil base provides these sleepers with adequate support, the foam layers offer them plenty of pressure relief.

Back Sleepers

Lightweight sleepers who often sleep on their back can be sure of ample back support thanks to the innerspring coils. Also, the memory foam layers at the top help cradle your back without feeling too firm.

Average-weight back sleepers should also feel incredibly comfortable sleeping on this Nolah Evolution 15 Mattress. The foam layers help relieve pressure around the shoulders and the lower back, while providing these sleepers with great lumbar support.

A heavyweight back sleeper should also feel quite comfortable sleeping on this mattress. The spring layer of this Nolah bed provides these heavyweight sleepers with quality lift and tri-zoned relief for proper spinal alignment. If you're weighing close to 300 pounds, the firm version may be the ideal choice that provides ample support.

Stomach Sleepers

If you're a lightweight stomach sleeper, this Nolah mattress is a perfect choice. While the innerspring coils provide ample support around the hips, the foam layers deliver profound body contouring.

Nolah Evolution guarantees average-weight stomach sleepers ample support in conjunction with excellent comfort—courtesy of the solid support of its zoned coils and the plush soft top comfort layer.

Note that heavyweight stomach sleepers may sink a bit deeper into the foam layers when sleeping on this mattress. This is most likely to occur if they're carrying a lot of weight on their hips, causing pressure buildup. Sleepers falling in this category are better off with the Nolah Evolution firm model.

Warranty Sleep Trial and Shipping Policies

Mattress companies offer sleep trials, warranty, and free shipping for their mattresses. However, every company has its own policies regarding these three elements. Below is an outline of Nolah's terms and conditions on those elements.

Warranty

All Nolah mattresses, including the Evolution Hybrid Model, come with a warranty. Though Nolah Evolution Mattress has a lifetime warranty, it's partially pro-rated. More importantly, this warranty is only eligible to the original buyer who purchased the mattress directly through Nolah or an authorized retailer and used it for residential purposes. Selling the bed to a second party renders the warranty void to that party.

For the first 15 years, Nolah company will repair any damages, replace your mattress, and cover any associated costs. Some of the damages this warranty covers include physical damage to the foam construction as a result of manufacturing faults and indentations exceeding 1-inch depth.

Note: the warranty doesn't cover intentional damages to the mattress or damages caused by failure to use a compatible bed frame.

After 25 years, the company will still repair or replace your Nolah Mattress but at a pro-rated cost. Remember that between 15-25 years, the pro-rated handling charge will be 50% of the original purchase price of the mattress. After 25 years, if you want to replace the bed with a new one, a new mattress will cost you 60% of the original buying price.

Sleep Trial

If you'd like to try out the Nolah Evolution Hybrid mattress before deciding if it's a good fit for your comfort needs, then you're in luck. Nolah mattresses come with a 120-night sleep trial.

Because your body can take up to a month before conforming to a new mattress, you'll be eligible for a full refund upon returning this Nolah Evolution Hybrid after the first 30 days of trying out the mattress. However, you'll be charged a $99 fee for the transportation returns and exchanges.

If you decide to return the mattress, Nolah will arrange for a local charity to pick it up. And if they can't find one nearby, they'll arrange for a recycling company or a junk hauler to take the mattress. Buyers who aren't interested in the trial period can opt out—which helps reduce the purchase price.

Shipping

Nolah offers free shipping for all mattresses, including the Nolah Evolution 15. The company offers free ground shipping but only within the contiguous parts of the United States.

After making an order, this Nolah mattress will take 2-5 business days before leaving the factory.

Since the mattress ships via UPS or FedEx, it'll take 3-5 business days before arriving. So, on average, your mattress can take 5-10 business days before arriving at your doorstep. After placing your order, you'll be issued a tracking number to let you know when your order ships

Like most beds, Nolah Mattresses are compressed and packed in boxes for shipping. Since the package is a little heavy, Nolah recommends you use another pair of hands to assist you in moving the box into the room of your choice before unboxing the mattress and allowing it to expand.

Extra Service

If you'd like Nolah to arrange and coordinate the setup of your new bed and even dispose of an old mattress, it'll cost you some extra fee. Nolah offers this white glove delivery service through a third-party company for $150 for either the mattress setup or removal. So, both services will cost $300. Remember that these additional fees are non-refundable.

Closing Thoughts

Thanks to its premium materials and hybrid design, the Nolah Evolution Mattress is plush enough to provide superior comfort and ample support. Individuals looking for a cooling mattress will also find this mattress quite helpful during hot seasons. Though this Nolah mattress doesn't come at a cheaper price, the price you pay for it will be worth every penny since it has all the bells and whistles a luxury mattress possesses. So, if you're looking for a great hybrid mattress that'll provide you with the sleep experience of both an innerspring and a memory foam mattress, the Nolah Evolution 15 makes a credible pick.
